Refinery production
GS Caltex imports 80 types of crude oil from some 30 countries spread across the Middle East, US, Southeast Asia, Australia and Europe. Diversified sourcing ensures a stable supply. We produce high-quality petroleum products using our refining capacity of 800,000 barrels per day (bpd) and cutting-edge production systems that include facilities to desulfurize kerosene and diesel.
Additionally, heavy oil upgrading(HOU) facility, the largest in the nation, has a capacity of 275,000 bpd and produces light oil products and high-grade gasoline. It has brought GS Caltex a step closer to realizing a ‘perfect complex.’

Global Exporter of Petroleum Products
GS Caltex provides a stable supply of petroleum products for both industrial and transportation use across Korea, serving approximately 2,000 gas stations and 330 charging stations as well as various factories, rail operators, and airlines.
We also operate as a global exporter by processing imported crude oil into petroleum products, while actively diversifying our export portfolio.

Jet Fuel
High-quality fuel meeting international standards
GS Caltex produces jet fuel for airplane jet turbine engines. Our products meet different requirements depending on whether they are for military or civilian use. Jet A-1 is used in civil aircraft, while JP-5 and JP-8 are for military planes. In times of emergency, JP-8 can also be used in vehicles and tanks powered by diesel.

Changes in flying altitude cause sharp changes in temperature and pressure. Taking this into account, we rigorously adhere to international product standards and practice strict quality control.
Adhering to international standards
GS Caltex jet fuel meets the AFQRJOS (Aviation Fuel Quality Requirements for Jointly Operated Systems), Defence Standard 91-91 of the UK, and MIL-DTL-5624/83133 and ASTM D 1655 of the US.
