Superior combustibility, GS Caltex - LPG

Superior combustibility, GS Caltex - LPG

GS Caltex produces liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) which is both clean and easy to use. LPG products include propane and butane. Propane is used as fuel for cooking in homes and restaurants as well as in the city gas business. Butane is used in automobiles, outdoor gas burners, cosmetics as a raw material, and as an aerosol propellant.

LPG from GS Caltex

LPG is produced under strict quality control at GS Caltex. It delivers superior combustion performance and does not generate harmful combustion products.

Superior combustion performance

LPG burns in a gaseous state and provides convenient ignition and flame control as well as high thermal efficiency.

Safe handling

LPG is a colorless and odorless gas, but an odorant has been added to enable quick detection in the event of a leak and improve safety.

Clean combustion

GS Caltex’s LPG products satisfy all requirements set forth by Korea’s Clean Air Conservation Act. Due to complete combustion, LPG does not generate harmful combustion products.

Good startability even in low temperatures

To improve startability in low temperatures, a set ratio of propane is mixed into automotive butane before it is shipped in winter.

Precaution for users

As LPG is heavier than air, there is a risk of explosion or death due to suffocation in the event of a leak. If the smell of the odorant is detected, refrain from using fans and other electronic appliances and open the windows for ventilation. During use, constantly check whether the flames have gone out.
